The Agnes and Beny Steinmetz foundation was set up in 2007 with a view to strengthen the social fabric of the state of Israel. Both Beny and his wife Agnes wanted to create a better future for the children and youth of Israel. It funds and supports several organisations and programs in education, culture, welfare and health. The main focus of the foundation is to improve the development of early childhood by supporting and improving these services within Israel.
Since its creation, 24,000 children, 2,200 parents and 2,000 professional staff have enjoyed and benefited from the unique model and improved services supported by the foundation.
Other causes close to the heart of the Steinmetz Foundation include the Ezra Vetikva Organisation, where Agnes Steinmetz serves as President, and The Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
The key goal of the foundation is to provide support and opportunities for young children and youth, so they develop the key skills and confidence needed for growth and development into responsible citizens that contribute to family and community life.
